Question: Im 13 and bought a game called resident evil and im too scared to play it!?

I was really exited to play it, but when it came to it i cant play it im too scared! i keep telling myself its just a game and theres nothing to be affraid of but it doesnt work! i guess im scared of the character im playing will die and it will be my fault! (i think its real life) is there anyway to get over this? i spent a fortune for resident evil 4, pc! please help! thanks x x

Its not scary. I remember when I was about 8-9 and silent hill first came out now that was scary.

If your 13 you probably shouldn't be playing M rated games in the first place but i have personally played the game myself and it is very fun but if you are too scarred to play it i would not recommend it

I had a problem with bioshock for a while but get a friend to play with you and its ok or play music in the background also helps = ]

Resident evil 4 is not scary at all. Its more of a shoot anything that gets in your way kind of game. You want scary play the earlier resident evil games or the silent hill series.

I really suck with scary games as well. Playing the Bioshock demo at midnight on your own in the house, and being interrupted by a powercut. Now THAT's scary. Best way to get over it is to get a friend to come round after school and play it with you. If you're both scared, it won't be as bad, and once you start to immunise yourself a little then it will be easier to play the next time :)

Resident evil is no longer a horror game, its an action game. Ok, like this. I was tense and scared all the time when i was playing the scariest games on ps2 (fatal frame and silent hill) and thats something that i like - you are at the edge of your seat the whole time, expecting someone to attack you! but you will only feel this way for the first time. when you complete the game once, you will no longer be scared. gather your whole courage and bust some zombie brains!

Turn the volume down on the pc and play some music. when a cutscene shows up turn the volume up.

If you're scared of it ... don't play it! It isn't beneficial for you to play a video game anyway. If it was something that would benefit you, then I would say 'get over it', but being scared to play a video game is fine. Just don't play it, it will fill your head with gory thoughts.

Well i recently played resident evil when i was 13 also it was 4 for the wii i may have been scared when i first played it with peoples heads blowing off and still being able to kill you but eventually i told my self its just a game and made it farther and farther just play it for a half hour to an hour straight you will love it also find someone who has played it

Well i was 12 when i first played Resident Evil 4, the only scary part is at the begining of the game, after the first 5 minutes it actually gets comical with how stupid things are. The cutscenes throughout the game are usually scary but when your actually playing it's not scary. Now Code Veronica X is a scary one. And it's hard as hell. All you have to do is get a shotgun and then blow whatever comes near you away.

This game is not for your age, and if you are really scared just put it a side or sell it or just git rid of it. You can also try playing with a friend or try speaking to a friend about it. It may help but pay attention who this friend is.
